Make Up Artist Magazine: Bob Burns Interview and Tour!
Bob Burns is a legend among many in the TV and movie-making business the world over. His impact on the industry is profound, as he has not only entertained countless audiences but also inspired a generation of collectors and enthusiasts. Bob is also, in my opinion, the godfather of collecting and the preservation of TV and movie memorabilia. His passion for preserving the history and significance of these artifacts is unmatched, and it has helped secure their importance for future generations.
Part of how I personally got into collecting is owed in most ways to Bob Burns himself. It was through TV and magazine media of the late 80s and early 90s that I even found that one could collect these very cool objects, like vintage film props, iconic costumes, and rare promotional materials. Seeing Bob’s collection and hearing his stories made me realize that these items are not just memories of the past; they are tangible connections to the characters and stories that have influenced our lives. This realization propelled me deeper into the collecting world, leading me to explore various avenues of memorabilia collection and preservation, all of which were initially inspired by Bob’s legendary passion and dedication.
Today here is an interview that was done by Make Up Artist Magazine about 2 years ago with the man himself Bob Burns. The video run time is 15 minutes, enjoy!
