Hollywood Parts Leaping to Hollywood Auction!

Hollywood Parts Movie Prop Asset Manager and Retailer is making the big leap to the movie prop auction arena. Hollywood Parts has planned their first auction for May 25th on icollector.com starting at 9am pacific  12pm east coast time.

I had the opportunity to speak to Mike Filonczuk of Hollywood Parts the other day to discuss what the prop collecting community can expect. Mike stated that they are looking to expand their customer base and that was the major factor for doing an auction of this type. Hollywood Parts is planning on having around 250-300 items up for bid in their first auction with items from all genres. I asked how many auctions per year and  was advised they were hoping to do a few per year possibly up to 4 depending on the success of the upcoming one.

Hollywood Parts is going to not just cater to the big budget collector but varying levels of collectors as Mike said they will have items for as low as 100-200 range up to a few thousand range. Hollywood Parts is a studio asset manager and there are plans for some direct from the studio items popping up in the auction or on their retail site.

Some of the items you can expect to see in the auction are from Robocop, Legally Blonde, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Rollerball, Spaceballs, Jeepers Creepers 2, Man in the Iron Mask, Supernova, Stigmata, Hannibal Rising, Amityville Horror and many many more! Consignments are welcome so if you have an prop or piece of wardrobe you would like to auction off  theycan help you with that.

Here is the link to the icollector auction Items will be posted soon as they are working diligently to get all the items photographed and prepped for the May 25th auction.
