As we eagerly anticipate the upcoming ScreenUsed auction the auction/retail house has a little bit of a tease for us. Posted a couple of days ago here are videos posted showcasing two items that will be featured in the July 6th auction. The first is the screen used Tricorder used by Data (Brent Spiner) in the movie Star Trek:Insurrection. The second video is the Production Clapper that was used in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Enjoy the videos and make sure to head over to Icollector to get registered for the auction!
Thanks to Screen Used for posting these vids on their Youtube channel, I would recommend posting more before each auction!
(Paramount Pictures, 1998) This tricorder was custom-made by the production for use by Brent Spiner as “Data”. Data uses the tricorder to take emission readings underwater and he discovers a federation vessel at the bottom of the lake. This particular tricorder completely lights up when opened, it was however broken during filming and had to be sent back to the prop maker for repair. It was rewired and restored to film use specifications. A hair line crack still exists but does not take away from the overall look of the piece.
(Paramount, 1984) This clapperboard was used during filming of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. This board was used by the 2nd unit throughout the production. The piece shows signs of heavy use and still features markings from its final shot from the film. Production used items such as this clapperboard, are very rare, sought-after artifacts of Indiana Jones history. It was acquired from the family of Martin Kenzie, the Second Assistant Cameraman on the film.
