The quarterly Premiere Props “Extravaganza Auction” is coming Saturday March 28th 2015. The auction is described as having around 1000 lots in the auction offer a wide range of Movie Props, Costumes, Production items, Autographs and more.

The most talked about item in this auction is the 2001 A Space Odyssey Hero Screen Used Aries 1B Trans-Lunar Space Shuttle. The 2001 “Lunar Shuttle” is definitely an iconic prop model from a highly revered movie. Premiere Props lists the models provenience as being from a private collection of over 40 years, See below.

“Also comes with a detailed Letter of Provenience from the English collector from Kubrick’s long-time residence of Hertfordshire, England who originally obtained this remarkable treasure in 1975. This original owner was a former Art teacher at a Federal Public school and was given this lunar model with the agreement that his friend and co-worker who was a Woodworking teacher, remove the electronics from the shuttle to demonstrate and teach this technology to his students.”
