Today Profiles in History a leading auction house for Historical and Hollywood memorabilia released their catalog for the upcoming Hollywood Auction 74.  The Hollywood auction is scheduled for 3 days starting on Tuesday September 29th 2015 through Thursday October 1st, 2015.  Profiles in History has put together a spectacular 3 day auction so loaded that it would be like writing a book just to cover all that is being offered up. Instead I have put together a brief breakdown of all 3 days.

  • September 29th is day one and consists of Vintage Photos of Hollywood legends of past along with scripts, vintage posters and various other production material around. Day one of the Hollywood auction  74 starts at Lot 1 and continues through lot 631.
  • h74forbiddenplanetPicture1September 30th, day two features more incredible memorabilia from classic Hollywood films including key wardrobe items from such films as the Wizard of Oz, 1938 Marie Antoinette, Gone with the Wind, Casablanca, Hopalong Cassidy and many more classics. Vintage scripts, posters, props and production items are also a part of day two.  Old school science fiction fans will be pleased to see a “Laser Rifle” and “Laser Pistol” from The Forbidden Planet (1956), Lots 885-886. Fans of the 1952-58 George Reeves Superman will have a chance to own the screen worn costume used in season two. Lost in Space fans there is a few costumes to bid on as well. Day two starts with lot 635 and ends with lot 1264.
  • October 1st is the third and final day of the auction and is loaded with props and costumes from some modern Hollywood favorites. Of course no Hollywood auction would be complete without a few lots of Star Wars. Fans of the original trilogy will be pleased to see lot 1543 the first space ship you see in the first film a screen used Rebel Blockade Runner used to transport Princess Leia! The original model is the most iconic piece of history you could own the auction estimate is 200,00-300,000, a truly amazing piece. Star Wars fans will be pleased to see that there are several dozen lots of very cool lots of props, costumes and production material waiting for your winning bid.

  • Also in day three Harrison Ford’s Indiana Jones signature shirt from the first film could be yours with an auction estimate of 40,000-60,000 as well as a signature whip ,fedora hat and Jacket used in the film series. Other films represented in day three include Alien movie series, Star Trek, Rocky, Back to the Future, Terminator, Batman, Mrs Doubtfire, Jurassic park and so much more.  Day three starts with lot 1265 and wraps up the Hollywood Auction 74 event with lot 1905.
