An upcoming auction of note taking place at Sotheby’s Australia in April. Russell Crowe’s “The Art of Divorce” auction will feature movie props, costumes and other movie related items from his decades long career. It appears that Russell is letting go of some exclusive costumes and props he used or wore during the filming of some of his iconic movies. Also included in the auction are some other personal items such as art, furniture and more.
Judging by the information below this really does has something to do with the divorce from his most recent marriage. I added the information provided by Sotheby’s below, included a link to the catalog along with some preview pictures at the bottom of this article.
The auction will take place on Saturday April 7th 2018, for full details visit Sotheby’s Australia website for registration including additional information.
A selection of major works from the private collection of Russell Crowe will be auctioned by Sotheby’s Australia on 7 April 2018. A date of particular significance as both the actor’s birthday and wedding anniversary.
The sale represents the dispersal of a highly personal collection that was assembled by Crowe over many years, including those shared with his former wife, Danielle Spencer.
