Prop Store: Spitting Image Auction
ORIGINAL PUPPETS FROM HIT TV SHOW SPITTING IMAGE TO BE SOLD AT AUCTION
Margaret Thatcher, Nigel Lawson, Tom Hanks and Salman Rushdie are just some of the iconic celebrity puppets available to bidders in Prop Store’s upcoming Spitting Image Auction from Thursday 14th February 2019, with lots closing on Wednesday 27th February 2019. Over 40 puppets will be up for auction, with reserves starting as low as £100.
The BAFTA and Emmy Award-winning satirical British television series, Spitting Image spanned across 18 series between 1984 -1996. The show featured caricatures of prominent celebrities, politicians and members of the Royal Family, with Margaret Thatcher featuring as one of the most memorable and frequently appearing characters throughout the series.

- Dan Quayle Puppet Head Estimate: £600 – 800
- Nigel Lawson Puppet Estimate: £600 – 800
- Boy George Puppet Head Estimate: £400 – 600
- Tom Hanks Puppet Head Estimate: £300 – 500
- Robbie Coltrane Puppet Estimate: £400 – 600
- Salman Rushdie Puppet Estimate: £400 – 600
- Tatum O’Neal Puppet Head Estimate: £200 – 300
- Alan Bennett Puppet Estimate £400 – 600
- Denis Thatcher Puppet Estimate £400 – 600
