Spending the Day With Steven Spielberg at His Film Archive! – Video
If you have ever wondered where all those really amazing props and such from the Steven Spielberg films were, well, here they are, right in front of you. I have seen several clips of this larger 23-minute video shot inside the Amblin Hearth Archive, and I was completely fascinated by the sheer variety of iconic artifacts that have been preserved over the years like original production slates, hand-drawn storyboards, and models. This weekend, I was able to watch the full video on YouTube, and it was a captivating experience that left me in awe of the detail and history behind each item. I thought it was so on topic and exciting that I felt compelled to share it here.
An interesting fact I learned is that Steven sometimes participates in auctions to recover props. Recently, Mr. Spielberg won at the Propstore spring 2026 auction winning Quint’s (Robert Shaw) Fenwick Deluxe 670 fishing rod and a production-used Penn Senator 16/0 reel, which sold for $239,400.
