WonderCon 2012 releases programming schedule

This week WonderCon released its programming schedule for the March 16-18 2012 convention. On the schedule as normal are the various panel discussions,  movie and TV series events, comics presentation and fan events. One such fan event is on the first day of the con Friday @ 12:30 TheOneRing.net will host a panel discussion Hobbit Movie Insider’s the discussion will be revealing the films production surprises and shredding rumors. Also on the same day is the exclusive world premiere of the new WB Animation and DC Universe movie Superman vs. The Elite. Many more of these types of events are planned throughout the 3 day con. The 2012 WonderCon takes place in Anaheim, CA at the Anaheim Convention Center the hours are Friday March 16 12p-7p, Saturday March 17 10a-7p and  Sunday March 18 11a-5p.

FRIDAY MARCH 16

3:30-4:30 Spotlight on J. Michael Straczynski Q/A — The event is moderated by DC editor-in-chief Dan DiDio.

4:00-5:30 Exclusive Warner Bros. Television Screenings: Person of Interest and The Secret Circle.

6:00-7:00 Animation Voice-Over Panelists include Katie Leigh (Gummi Bears, Darkwing Duck, Muppet Babies), Ben Bledsoe (Ronal the Barbarian, scratch artist for Disney feature animation, founder of Unireach Media), Lisa Biggs (Adventures of Toby and founder of http://www.voxyladies.com), Rob Paulsen (Pinky and the Brain, Jimmy Neutron, Animaniacs), Kevin Michael Richardson (The Cleveland Show, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, The Simpsons) Mick Wingert (“Po” on Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness), and director/writer/performer Phil Lollar (Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi Show, The Mr. Men Show, Olivia!, The Little Angels, Adventures in Odyssey).

SATURDAY MARCH 17

1:00-2:00 DC Comics: The New 52— Panel discussion. Guests include DC editor-in-chief Bob Harras, executive editor Eddie Berganza, and group editor Matt Idelson and are joined by Brian Buccellato (Flash), Dustin Nguyen (Batman Beyond Unlimited), Scott Snyder (Batman), Ryan Sook (DC Universe Presents).

 3:00-4:00 DC Comics: All Access Special Edition— Most talked about project of 2012! DC Comics co-publisher Dan DiDio, editor Will Dennis, and writers  J. Michael Straczynski and Len Wein.
3:15-4:15 Universal Pictures: Battleship and Snow White and the Huntsman— Universal Pictures will present footage and special guests from two of its upcoming movies: Battleship and Snow White and the Huntsman. Battleship director/producer Peter Berg along with Alexander Skarsgård and Brooklyn Decker to discuss the project. Snow White and the Huntsman‘s director, Rupert Sanders, will answer questions about the new movie.
4:15-5:30 Sony Screen Gems: Resident Evil: Retribution Plus More Sony Films— Appearing in person is Alice herself, Milla Jovovich, who along with writer/director Paul W. S. Anderson will discuss the new film in the series.
8:30-11:00 WonderCon Masquerade The BIG event.A parade of costumes and characters across the big WonderCon main stage.
SUNDAY MARCH 16
1:00-2:00 Fringe Special Video Presentation and Q&A— The producers and cast of the series Fringe. Q&A session and get a sneak peek.
2:00-3:00 DCE: Meet the Publishers Co-publishers of DC Entertainment, Jim Lee and Dan DiDio. This up-close-and-personal panel gives you a chance to step up and ask questions!
2:30-3:30 Roddenberry Presents— Eugene “Rod” Roddenberry (CEO, Roddenberry Productions), Trevor Roth (head of development, Days Missing) and Tory Mell (producer/writer, White Room: 02B3) are taking the name that created Star Trek and bringing it to levels not seen since the original days of the genre-changing TV series.
4:00-5:00 Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog
