The upcoming auction called “Drama, Action, Romance-The Hollywood Auction” takes place just in time for the holidays on December 15th through the 16th. Like most other auctions held by Profiles in History this one is no exception with lots of one of a kind items from all areas of television and film up for bid. To view the complete catalog via PDF and to register for this auction click here.

So upon review of the 372 page PDF catalog there are some amazing pieces of Hollywood history here most notable Gort’s head from 1951 classic “The Day the Earth Stood Still” the estimate on this VERY rare piece is 100,000-150,000 but I definitely think this is one item that will go well beyond the estimates. Another awesome item is Bram Stokers “writing desk” where Dracula was penned this exceptional piece of history has an estimate of 60,000 – 80,000 which I am more than positive it will get if not way more.

This auction has a little something for everyone, If you collect vintage rare movie posters there are plenty for you to bid on. If you like Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Star Trek, Aliens, Captain America, 2001: A space odyssey, Terminator, Jurassic Park there is something here for you as well.
